Carolyn Staples - Founder / Esthetician
Carolyn Staples is a licensed Esthetician and the proud Founder of Bare Waxing and Laser. Born and raised in Mission Viejo, Carolyn is a true Orange County local and has loved growing a business in her own backyard.
As a dedicated athlete growing up, Carolyn was heavily involved with Olympic Development Programs and went on to play collegiate soccer at USC and TCU. After college, Carolyn decided to take the plunge and follow her interests in beauty and skincare by becoming an Esthetician.
Although being an Entrepreneur and Mom keeps her very busy, Carolyn has a wide range of personal interests. As a Film major, she loves documentaries and any movie Directed by Wes Anderson. She’s an outdoor fanatic and can be found camping in her 1986 VW Vanagon, paddle boarding or cruising down the runs at Mammoth Mountain.
Dr. Mark Bernardi - Medical Director
As an avid athlete in his youth, Dr. Bernardi played soccer at Cornell University where he studied Biology and graduated Summa Cum Laude with research honors in Nutrition. He then went on to a clinical research career at the Harvard Institute of Medicine where he was a published author in orthopedics and sports medicine. Dr. Bernardi later received his medical degree from the University of California San Diego. While a medical student, he developed an interest in epidemiological health trends and global medicine. He has volunteered abroad in Kenya and Mexico and was the University of Nairobi School of Medicine’s youngest Grand Rounds speaker on U.S. Healthcare Policy. After his emergency medicine residency training at the University of Arizona, Dr. Bernardi began complimenting his career as an attending physician with medical directorships for several men’s health clinic nationwide. He has also been featured in Top Doctors Magazine.
Emily Davis - Corporate Educator
Emily has been an Esthetician for 12 years and has been with Bare since 2013. Starting as a Waxer, she worked her way up to a Location Manager and now upon her return from time at home with her babies, she now holds our top education position.
Aside from her professional life, Emily has been married for 8 years and is mom to two beautiful daughters and a baby boy. She loves spending quality time with her kids and they love spending this time at the happiest place on Earth, Disneyland!
Emily is also passionate about being active, and loves a good spin class. She loves being a part of the beauty industry and knowing we are helping others feel their best. As the Corporate Educator, she gets excited about customer service and helping create the best Bare experience for every person who walks through our doors.
